Vee Speers

Factual: Vee Speers is based in Paris, Where she is persuing her career in both art and commercial photography. Since 2002 Speers has had solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, South America and Asia.


Technical: I think these images have been taken in a studio because of the background. I think these images have all been done with a digital camera.The models are stood dead still.


Aesthetic: What i like most about this group of images is that there all unique although there doing the same thing the way they are dressed and the way the models are placed. I would like to learn to create simple and effective images. These images don't all have much colour they are all plain and almost dull colours.

The Context: These images all have child models in them. I think this may tell us a story about how the children are feeling i'm not sure, Most of them are in black and white as well that may tell us something. These images are all strange.

Depth of field

This image is by Perou.

Depth of field is how far away the object is whether it's to the horizon line or whether the photographer has zoomed in or not.

In the image on the left i think Perou has staggered the man and the back round so there is a bit of depth but not very far i think this is a nice effect. In the image in the middle i think the photographer has used depth to his advantage because the children are flying up i think you can see everything in the background as well as the foreground really well this effect is the best out of the three images but that's only my opinion. In the image on the right i think the photographer has used not much depth i think he used no zoom just stood there and took the image. I like all three of these images.

focal point

Focal point is generally what your eye is drawn to when you first look at the image if the photographer has done it well then you will see strait away what they wanted you to see. It's the central point of interst.

In this image i think the focal point is on the two children because they could be showing there feelings by what there doing in the image i think the photographer has done this well because there not smack bang and boring the boy is facing the other way that gives it a different edge to it and what he's doing, so you start to wonder where the actual focal point is.
 Position is also key to a good picture with a good focal point the way the object/person is placed in the image.

Lighting

Lighting is the primary source of illumination a secondary light source is a lamp or light to get rid of the shadows of the object or image your trying to photograph. You can alter the lightning in a photograph to make it look much better as an image.

In the left hand image i think it's pure primary source of lightning (natural light). In the second image i think there is more than one source of light a source of light coming from above and to the object.

Composition

Composition is the way the photo has been put together whether the photographer has used the rule of thirds and whether the photographer has thought where to place things in there photograph. If you use composition correctly in your photograph then it will communicate the message across.

I think compostition has been used in this photograph because the model is spaced evenly though the bushes so you can see him and see that he's determined.

First analysis

Factual: The photographer is Perou. He is a British photographer, who is the work of music and fashion.

The Context: The image is a fashion model.

Technical: I think this image has been taken with a green screen and lots of lights,using a digital camera.

Aestheic: What i like most about this image is that its simple and not to complicated with lots going on. Although i don't think it would matter if i knew who the model is.
